Swiss Hutless Racing karts fill 2 of the three podium position @ Rd 1 of TASSIE 200cc super twin engine series.
And finish 3rd in over 40's (J)
David Catchpole racing in the number 25 Swiss hutless took out the final on Sunday the 17th of Jan, But not without his drama for the day in the second heat of the day Catchpole lost his front left hand tyre on one of the fastest parts of the track causing him to spear of into the tyres at an extremely quick speed. Luckily only causing minor damage to his kart, as for the front wheel it left the kart at a rate of knots crossing the track and just missing his team mate Simon Bingley and continued to leave the track and bounce down the road. Bingley in his first race meeting for more than 9 months started the final from pole position but could only manage to finish in 3rd with a deflating left rear tyre.
Swiss Hutless Promo chassis makes australian debut :
Tony Rielly had the pleasure of debuting the new Promo 28/30 chassis in the over 40's (J) after some blistering times in practise on saturday Rielly was reved up for race day.
Come race day and the heats reilly set himself up well for the final where he diced for several laps in and out of the lead and with 2 corners remaining he was leading but ran wide only lo let 2 karts past and eventually finishing in 3rd position.
So all & all it was a great start to 2010 for the Swiss Hutless Karts Australia race team and hopefully more success to come.
